INTERIOR LOVE // SOFT COLORS

Being away from our home has sure got me missing interior decorating.
Granted, I wasn't 100% happy with our apartment decor - but it was getting there!
When we return stateside, I'm think I'll be decorating our new place hard out (once we figure out where we'll be living!)

I love the idea of modern lines & furniture mixed with vintage touches.
And I love the use of color in this particular home. I'll be working on designing different inspiration boards for our new home.
This is hopefully the first of many more to come.

A Little Room Tour

Ok. So when I say "little" room tour, I really mean little!
I recently organized all my favorite photos and trinkets on my new dresser and I thought I'd share some photos.
I love having a little space where I can look at photos of people I love and pretty little things that make me smile.




I also have my hat collection, a container with my favorite scarves, my lipsticks,
a wooden box full of Bible verses (Tim made it for me when we first started dating!), and a few fancy bracelets on display.


It feels so nice to organize a lovely "me" space in our room.
Does anybody else get a bit giddy over pretty spaces?

apartment inspirations.

tim and i are coming up to our one year anniversary in may, and i couldn't be happier.
one of my absolute FAVORITE parts of our married life is having our very own place.

we had a strange start to our relationship.
the first four months we were dating, i was living with him & his family in new zealand.
then we came back to the states, toured around for a bit, then spent months apart while he was on the road.
then we got engaged, and shortly after he moved to indiana and lived with me and my parents.
up until a month after we got married, we didn't have our own place!
so we are loving this stage of our lives.
we love decorating and cooking and hanging out and making forts and messes.

i really want to find neat little projects to do around our place.
i've been looking through design sponge for inspiration.

it's all so lovely :)
i love our place now, but there's always room for growth and change when it comes to decorating.

i have to whole weekend off, so i think i'll spend it at thrift stores & antique shops,
finding things for our apartment ;)
