Make It Yourself Monday : Photo Transfer On Wood!

Supplies: Paintbrush, piece of smooth wood, Liquitex Gloss Heavy Gel Medium (found at Michael's),
photocopy of your photos (I just used the photocopier at the local library. Photos on photo paper will not work).
 
1.  Apply a heavy coat of gel medium to the front of your photo. I chose a photo of my nephew
with a dirt-beard and a photo of the perfect New Zealand coffee! 2. Place photo face down on wood.
Note: The image will transfer backwards, so if there is any writing, make sure you make a
mirror-image copy. 3. After letting the gel medium dry for a few hours, spray the entire photo with
water. This step is definitely the most time-consuming part of the project. Gently rub away the paper.
You will start to see the image appear. The transfer will not be perfect, especially around the edges.
That's part of the charm though! 4. Enjoy your finished project! I suggest maybe attaching a little
bracket to the back so you can hang it on the wall.
