TINY HOUSE

Brace yourself for a lot of pictures of a cute little home. Tim, Max and I drove out to Lancaster, PA for a little weekend getaway. We were celebrating our 7th wedding anniversary and wanted to do something special. We've been tossing around the idea of downsizing, potentially living in a tiny home. We were definitely spoiled with this beautiful space! It was a dream come true, staying here with my two loves. We spent the day exploring the beautiful countryside and small towns, and finished the day with a bonfire. I loved this little getaway. It was just what we all needed. Now here are a ton of photos of this adorable place.

We've got our hearts set on a farm one day, for sure. Max wanted to be outside all the time no matter what the weather. He loves exploring, that's for sure! Now we just need to build a tiny house of our own. Happy Memorial Day weekend, y'all! 

Celebrating Three Years!

Timothy and I celebrated our three year wedding anniversary on Wednesday!
We drove into Chicago and spent the afternoon walking around hand in hand.
We had a day full of perfect city weather, delicious gourmet Mexican food, fancy churros,
a cupcake ATM, and delicious coffee from a newly discovered cafe (Bow Truss).

There's nothing like spending a perfect day together.
It felt like a first date all over again.
We were just that boy and girl walking around our favorite city,
holding hands and chatting and taking photos and laughing at each others silly jokes.
I hope things never change.
I hope when we're 70 we'll still be walking around beautiful cities,
acting like nothing else matters in the world except the fact that we are together.

Here's to a lifetime of anniversaries together, darling!

Year Two

Timothy and I had a super special day yesterday.
We celebrated 2 years of marital bliss!!
 We had a pretty low-key day full of delicious meals and quality time together.
We drove out to Chicago and enjoyed the beautiful weather and ate at a delicious burger place for dinner.

Oh, and last year we started a tradition of taking yearly portraits on our anniversary.
We kept up with the tradition and took a few portraits with our "Year Two" sketch.
I've got a notebook set aside for all the illustrations we'll be doing throughout the years.

We had quite a perfect day.
We are so blessed to have the relationship that we have.
For those of you who are lucky enough to have found your soul mate, I'm sure you know what I mean.
You know how it feels to be utterly and completely secure and peaceful in a relationship.
You know how it feels to look at the one you love and fall even more in love with every day that passes.
You know how it feels to "know". To know that you've found your perfect match.
The one who loves you on your best days as well as your worst days.
The one who cracks up laughing over your ridiculous jokes that really aren't that funny.
The one who wants to spend every moment by your side, for the rest of your live.
It's really a surreal feeling, isn't it?

Colorado & St. Louis - Lots & Lots O' Photos

so, i've been a busy, busy bee the last few days.
some friends from New Zealand have been staying with us this past week
and it's been a BLAST!
we've had tons of fun showing them our little part of the world.

so, in the midst of all the business, i'm popping in to share some photos of mine & tim's recent trips!

we celebrated a beautiful year of marriage in the mountains of colorado.
we went on this real-life steam train. it was gorgeous!























and then we had a quick weekend trip to St. Louis.
i did a craft show down there (Craft-O-Matic, to be exact.)
we made a little detour to Springfield to visit the amazing Red Velvet shop!
what a dreamy little place it is, to say the least.
