Dream A Little Dream

Tim and I watched Leap Year last night.
It's quite a funny little movie starring Matthew Goode and Amy Adams.
It's set in the beautiful country of Ireland, so it's quite enchanting.
This song by The Mamas and The Papas was in it. I just LOVE this tune.
It's pretty darn sweet and romantic.
Two traits that I am particularly drawn to ;)

Anywayyyy...I wore this dress from my collection yesterday.
It's one of my favorite prints I've ever found!

Popping in for a quick hello this evening!
I'm cooking some pita pizzas for dinner, so I've gotta make this quick.
Can't leave a hungry husband waiting ;)
(Side note: Tim makes me dinner nearly every single night. I told him tonight is my turn!
Just didn't want any of you think I've got some slave-driver hubby who makes me cook dinner for him.
And if you knew Tim in real life, you'd realize what a ridiculous scenario that would be. He is the sweetest!)

Kylie and I saw Katy Perry:Part of Me this afternoon.
It was pretty wonderful in my opinion.
And while I'm not the biggest KP fan, I always enjoy stories of peoples beginnings.
Let me tell you - her story is pretty fascinating.
And if nothing else, I'm sure most of you fashiony gals will ADORE all of her stage costumes!!
They are so fun and girly and adorable.
I'll admit that I'm more of a fan after seeing the movie ;)
You gotta love a girl who is just being her quirky little self!

Summer's In The Air, Heaven's In Your Eyes

Just another beautiful summer day!
Tim and I have been spending lots of time at my parents' house this week.
Tonight we're going over for a big 4th of July celebration.
My Dad (who is a master of the grill) is making us steaks! Delish.
Then we're heading over to a friend's house to watch the city's fireworks.
Should be a grand ol' time!

This is about as patriotic as it gets for me, friends.
I wore this yesterday and realized it would be a fitting outfit to post today.
Red, white, and blue. That's what today is all about ;)

I don't think I'll ever stop loving these guys.
Their music has meant so much to me over the past few years.
It has been with me through heartbreaks, world travels, everyday joys,
summer drives, and my first dance as a wife.
They never cease to amaze me.

Home Sweet Indiana

Kylie and I went out into the cornfield behind our parents' house for a little shoot.
We've lived in Indiana for about 11 years now, and there's something about green cornfields that just feels like home to me.
Kylie and I have spent countless hours running around, playing hide & seek, and even riding our bikes through this very cornfield.

She'll be leaving for New Zealand in August, so we plan on having as many photo shoots as possible before then!
We've never been an ocean apart from each other before, so I know it'll be a bit tough for the 2 months before I arrive in NZ too.

And the big news at the moment? Ky started a blog!!
It's called Midnight & Dawn (after our clothing line), and it's shapin' up to be a pretty fancy place.

Love Is Like A Silhouette In Dreams!

These past few days have been super duper hot!
My solution this summer? Maxi skirts.
I've never really been one to wear long skirts but lemme tell ya...they are a lifesaver in this kind of heat!
Today was all about staying nice and cool.
So I threw on my trusty skirt & an equally-breezy shirt and seized the day!

(This Kimbra song is becoming a non-stop summer tune for me.)






And how beautiful is this bag?!
My sister Kylie was kind enough to let me borrow it.
She found it at an antique store the other day.
I love it and plan on stealing it as many times as possible ;)






Ok. Here's some nephew cuteness for you for today:
Tim & I were babysitting Seth tonight while Kylie & Matt celebrated their anniversary.
Our pup Casey was not excited about this.
He kind of has only child syndrome, I think.

What a jerk, right?! Geez. If looks could kill...

I bought these wonderful striped shorts the other day, and I love them!
They're the perfect amount of nautical inspiration for summer.
Speaking of that amazing season - it really snuck up on us, didn't it?!
I mean, June is halfway over already. Geez!
